Last minute details for tomorrow night’s show at the Silver Bullet

Hey Fiends,

After careful consideration of who we should/could put on as support for tomorrow night at our single launch for Fever Lullaby at the Silver Bullet in Finsbury Park, we looked at our back catalogue, let our egos get the better of us and made the decision that we would support ourselves in our acoustic guise, a chance to play some of the quieter songs that we don’t always have the opportunity to play.

Stage times for tomorrow are going to be roughly as follows:

Acoustic set - 9.00 to 9.30pm

Electric set - 9.45 to 10.45pm

50 copies of the CD EP are pressed and packaged.

Tickets are still available at our webstore here.

It’s looking like it will be our last London show this year so we are hoping to make it a special one. More details to follow.

Hey Fiends,

We are releasing Fever Lullaby, the third single from Tales To Be Told in a few weeks time on November the 21st. To coincide with the release, with the help of our good friend John Hooper, we made a video for the song which you can watch above.

Also, this Thursday, fresh from a sweaty, rough and ready set at the King’s Head in Islington on Saturday night for Oxjam, we’re gonna be playing a special “quiet” set at the Wilmington as part of an evening of “ghost stories and other such nonsense”, put on by the League of Extraordinary People. Check out their website for details here.

Hope to see you there.

And finally, don’t forget that you can pick up a copy of Tales To Be Told, our first record and various other bits of good looking vinyl at our very own web-shop here.

Go treat yourselves.

‘With You’ Video

Hey Fiends,

The video for ‘With You’, directed by our good friend Nick Wood and produced by extended-Bookhouse-family member Anna Larkin, has been featured on Promonews.tv, home of all good things music promo wise.

There’s a new edit of the video to the extended album version of the track right here.

Enjoy.

Support Your Favourite Independent Labels!

If haven’t heard already, the Sony distribution centre in Enfield that was burnt down during the riots this week was also the main distribution centre for PIAS and housed the entirety of many independent labels’ physical stock. This could put many of those labels out of business.

A list of the labels affected is here:

http://www.pias.com/uk/pias-distributed-labels-list/

You should sign up to the facebook page here:

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Help-the-independent-labels-affected-by-the-fire-at-PIAS/259255644102994

and go and download something digitally from one of the labels. It will help to generate some cashflow for them so that they stand a chance of getting themselves back on an even keel.

Go support your favourite label now!

Tell your friends!

Thursday not Wednesday…

The Old Blue Last show is of course on Thursday the 18th of August, two weeks tomorrow, not Wednesday the 18th of any other month.

More haste less speed.

Hob switched off. Tap turned off. Paranoia relieved.

Carry on.
